Now even Christians are not safe:Pastor murdered in broad daylight in Peshawar, Pakistan; Church said - Imran government failed to protect us

 

After Hindus and Sikhs in Pakistan, now the Christian community is also on the target of fundamentalists. On Sunday, two bike-borne men shot dead the priest of the city's largest church in Peshawar. His fellow Priest is seriously injured. After carrying out the murder, both the attackers easily escaped from the main road of the city.

Senior Bishop of the Church of Pakistan Azad Mashal condemned the incident and directly targeted the Imran Khan government. Azad said- Imran government has failed to protect the people of Christian community.

according to a CNN reporter in Pakistan, the incident happened on Sunday. Pastor William Siraj and his fellow Priest Father Naseem were passing through the main market of Peshawar. During this, two people came on a bike from behind. He parked the bike in front of the car. After this, the person sitting behind on the bike got down and opened fire on both the priests from very close range. William Siraj died on the spot. Naseem has been admitted to the hospital. His condition is stated to be serious.

There was a suicide bomb attack on a church in Peshawar in 2013 and many people were killed in it. The people who conspired for this have not been caught so far. So far no organization has claimed responsibility for Sunday's attack.

Who doubted
the organization of Christians in Pakistan mourned the incident. Its chief, Senior Bishop Azad Mashal, said – We want the Pakistan government to take strict action in this matter and give us justice. The government has so far failed to provide security to the minorities.

Media reports have said that Peshawar is a city that borders Afghanistan and is dominated by Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). In recent times, TTP has also carried out a lot of attacks on the security forces. Last month, a ceasefire broke out between the Pakistan government and the TTP. This lasted only for a month.

The police remained silent till now
. The special thing in this case is that the incident took place on the road leading to the main market of Peshawar. During this there was a lot of hustle and bustle and the police was also present at some distance. But, despite this the attackers managed to escape. When the people of the Christian organization took to the streets to protest, an attempt was made to stop them. The police have not yet given any statement on the investigation in this case. This incident has been given prominent place in the foreign media.
